The forward leaning inversion is a popular move from Spinning Babies to help a baby get into the most optimal position for birth. 

For some of my patients who are not comfortable in a full forward leaning inversion I recommend other variations that
1. Decreases pressure on the Lumbar Spine + SI Joints:

By gently lifting the abdomen it reduces the forward pull on the low back and sacroiliac joints from the pregnant belly which helps relieves low back and pelvic girdle pain 

2. Supports the Abd
